The shetlands are getting up to no good with one another in their field, I wondered why my 2yr old was on his toes! Have only just noticed why when I put him back.

But the little ***** tried to bite my face twice while I was grooming him then as I bent down to brush his back leg he kicked me, sending me flying through the stable door, hit my head and leg on the way :( the horse has been a idiot, rearing but never has he tried to kick me before!

Now he's pacing up and down get wound up by the shetlands!

Anyone want my horses??

I'll swap you one. ;)

You can choose from an old, retired TB mare that wont stable, crib bites and loves to rear.

A nervous happy hacker who's been on field rest for getting on to a year and a half - may come right with more time.

A four year old arab. Backed but not ridden away. Probably the best of the bunch but she comes with her best buddy a 2 year old gelding who cannot bare to be without her and runs about causing chaos if you take her away - this may improve with training.

Ive been at the end of my tether also (excuse the pun!)

I keep the horses on 4.4 acres (I have an 8 year old Welsh Sec A mare and a 2 year old Welsh Sec D gelding, along with a friends coloured) but because the land was in such a state when I took it on in Jan and the horrific weather we have had down here, the grass simply hasnt came up as well as I had hoped!

So...genius plan was to paddock it off to let majority rest while they graze down the bottom half of the field which has a bit more grazing but not as good quality.

All went well until my A decides she doesnt give a damn about electric fencing and smply climbs through it - ignoring the shocks. Then the coloured and my D (who Ive only had a few days) decide that if she can get out so can they, but instead of climbing through they simply jump straight over!

Am pulling my hair out in a panic that there will simply be no grass come winter time and instead all I will have is a large field of mud!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRR lol

Because:
They have muzzles like velvet
To snuffle you,
Eyes like chocolate pools
To follow you everywhere,
And ears that twizzle
In every direction imaginable
But lock in one place
At the sound of your voice.

Horses are the meaning of life :)

Because after a heavy day at work you can ride out round the village for 45 mins to an hour, with your sister, both of you laughing the whole way round and nearly falling off laughing when the girls take exception to the Soay Sheep bouncing about at the other side of a wall :D :D :D

Because after being told your horse might not ever be sound enough to ride again you survive several months of barefoot rehab and enjoy a lovely hack out in the sunshine this evening with your best friend. :) :)

Wouldn't trade them for anything no matter how much grief they cause me, my two are here to stay! ;)

Because after a useless rubbishy crappola day he makes my soul sing for joy and fills my heart; and he tolerates me kissing and cuddling him remarkably well:Dtaken tonight:
