When I bought my new mare I was convinced I could never love her like I had the boys. I thought she was foot perfect to ride but boring...
Now nearly a year one I realised I simply did not understand this deep thinking, quiet worrier of a mare and that she has captured my heart in a way I never knew was possible.
I love that she tries so hard not to be scared, and that she whispers her discontent. That she has taught me how to whisper back, how to be responsible for and control my emotions and because her heart is made of pure gold.
She's taking me to places I never thought I would go and turning me into the rider I've dreamt my whole life of becoming. I love that she tells me off when I get it wrong and that she sulks with me when I upset her, but will go where I ask and look after me too!!
Sure this makes little sense but this mare has taught me more than I thought I needed to know.
xx
