Why do you love your horse?

When I bought my new mare I was convinced I could never love her like I had the boys. I thought she was foot perfect to ride but boring...

Now nearly a year one I realised I simply did not understand this deep thinking, quiet worrier of a mare and that she has captured my heart in a way I never knew was possible.

I love that she tries so hard not to be scared, and that she whispers her discontent. That she has taught me how to whisper back, how to be responsible for and control my emotions and because her heart is made of pure gold.

She's taking me to places I never thought I would go and turning me into the rider I've dreamt my whole life of becoming. I love that she tells me off when I get it wrong and that she sulks with me when I upset her, but will go where I ask and look after me too!!

Sure this makes little sense but this mare has taught me more than I thought I needed to know.

xx

I love how she is a dope on a rope to handle, but the most super jumping pony to ride.

I love how 2 years ago she was scared of humans, and you could get near her to even put a headcollar on,and i never expected to be able to handle her never mind ride her!

I love how every day i'm achieving lots on her, how she's taken me places i only dreamt of.

I love how willing she is, how every day she tries her heart out for me and gets me out of sticky situations.

I love the way she smiles for us,and when she shouts to me when i walk on the yard.

She's made me the most proudest mummy ever! love her to bits

I sold a little Lady like this, and I would love to have her back and say, sorry

Because in the howling gale force wind and horizontal rain today, my horse, in the field, was playing with his headcollar, twirling it round and round and with the odd rear/leap off the ground whilst twirling it! :D

He makes me laugh :D

He's my best friend.
He needs me as much as I need him.
He's handsome.
He's funny.
He's good as gold.
He's perfect.
He's everything.

:):):):)

I love him my big man because he is a true hero! Nearly 7 months ago he broke his leg, but never gave up and has been a total superstar throughout his recovery. After thinking we were going to lose him back in November, I don't think I will ever not smile every morning when I see his beautiful face looking over the stable door.

I love my pony because even though he is a stress head, he tries his little heart out for me. Because when I first got him I thought he was naughty, but now I understand he is a worrier and just needs love and understanding. And because even though I have fallen off him more times that I have fallen off all the horses I have ridden put together in the past 30 years, I have also acomplished more that I ever imagined I would with him. He is a little fizz bomb with a big heart!
