i have been so excited as my freind invited D and myself to go to a dressage comp with her and her horse as she has qualified for lincoln and needs an outing before she goes. She has borrowed a lorry and has offered to ride D for me. I have been waiting for such an offer for a while now as i just wanted an experienced rider to do our first comp to see how he behaves so that i can have the confidence to do it myself ( have the 4x4 and trailer up till now unused!

No where on the 'ad' on horse dates does it say 'evening' nor does it mention it on the schedule/entry form. My freind is now scrabbing about to see if she can find a babysitter and also if we can borrow the lorry at that time!

i have just called the venue (the jays in bury st edmunds) this morning to ask if they would transfer the cheque to a future show only to be told in no uncertain terms that it was my fault and that 'rules were rules' and she was going to have my money! I politely pointed out that i thought she was being very unfair as i had seen on all their other dates that they had stated 'evening' if it was evening so that i considered that i was justified in thinking it was daytime as it hadnt stated 'evening' anywhere. She was very rude, so i have lost 2 horses entry money. I didnt particulally want the money back just transfered to another time.
Oh well - we live and learn dont we. How disapointing x

just to clarify the actual facts here.

the schedule did state start time 6pm prompt. As i pointed out to you on the telephone.

On the telephone i did state that if you had told me when you phoned for times that you thought it was daytime and would possibly have issues getting in for the evening, i could of filled your space and arranged a refund for you as other people were phoning back after the calls for times for any uncollected times. as the evening was full.

i am afraid the evening needs to be full in order to cover the running costs of staging the event.

I am sorry but i certainly was not rude to you, the rules are clear on the schedule and i run to these so that i am fair and equal to everyone and favour no one.then there is no misunderstanding and no favouritism
