Well I have had my new horse just short of 8 weeks, everything fine, had already booked to go away and tbh was ready for it .
So left YO a detailed letter of what to do , just bring in at nights and what he is fed etc. I arrived back yesterday went straight to the yard and was met with a strange atmostphere.
The YO comes running out and tells me he has capped his hocks doesn't know how etc. , Aaaaaarh!
I am now waiting for the vet to come and check him over he hasn't been lame at all but I can see a small amount of swelling on his hock, I'm guessing it was done in the stable with a thin bed , but cannot prove it. He now has a huge thick bed.
I feel so pi33ed off and just hope that it will be something and nothing.
Would you be cross?
