My boy horse (only kidding!) has a little routine he does and I have no idea why!?

As soon as he see's my car at the yard gate, he walks over to the fence whinnying, stops, turns away from me and has a wee, then a poo, then comes over to me. EVERY day.

At the last yard he was at, he would come in daily for his feed and check and then i'd turn him back out and he'd stop in exactly the same place on the way back to the field and do a wee?

Any ideas? He doesnt wear a pink bridle either before anyone asks :D x

You scare the **** out of him:D:p

He is house trained :D

His Mummy always made him go to the loo before he went anywhere (my fave theory).

Who cares, it beats mine who save up 6 piles of dung to drop every time I have them out of the field!

I knew a hard to catch horse who would see its owner calling to it from the gate, take a few steps to get its owners hopes up that it was going to come over, stop, pee, then remain in pee stance until she dragged it out the field :P

Every morning and evening when I get to the yard shiva whinnies to me and then retreats to the middle of his stable to have a wee, without fail.

And if Jay is tied up anywhere near a bucket, he has to manoevre himself so he can stand with one back foot in it.

.???????????

K does this when I call her from the top of the field. I think perhaps they know they will be stood on the yard / working they empty out!

Equines are strange things. At least he doesnt lay down when I approach him. But then if he did, my daddy might buy me a girl pony to go with him.

Can only dream x

If my boy ponies lay down everytime I went near them I think my daddy would shoot them!

Maddie wee's after her breakfast every morning without fail. The other two are really boring and just graze or stand and wait.

if I get my gelding in durring the day he knows it too ride so always stops for a pee and poo!
When I get him in for the evening he doesn't.

I think he just knows he'd going to be ridden so prepares myself!

When mine sees me coming into stable with saddle he walks around in circles, finally stops parallel with the back wall and then poops. Every time without fail :D

In the summer when they are out 24/7, as soon as he goes back out after being in for a while, Mac will have a wee. He doesn't do it when he's in overnight and goes out first thing.

When hacking, when we approach an uphill which we will probably canter up, dolly always has a poo as if lightening the load before hand.
