I got up at 3.30am and got to the yard at 4.30 i loaded my pony up and we drove 100 yards up the road only to discover the lorry had a puncture! I couldn't go to the show as there was nothing we could do at that time in the morning. It is all the more gutting as it was an olympia regonal qualifier for the veteran horse society.
Also at the start of the year i missed a dressage final at cricklands as the people whos lorry i was borrowing desided i coulden't borrow it on the morning i was due to leave and i missed an endurance ride the other month as we descovered the car i was borrowing had no tax on the morning we where using it (i assumed it would be taxed as they said i could borrow it). thats three times in one year and it's not like i can afford to wast entry fees i'm a groom. Is it me am i cursed or something. sorry for the prob pointless post but i'm so fed up at the mo and can't sleep.

I have to rely on others to get to competitions and it's really annoying, partly because you can't get transport to the shows you really want to go to, and partly because you don't want to get on people's nerves too much by asking them all the time! That must have been so annoying, sorry to hear that, maybe next year? =D

I went out in a friend's wagon the other day and depite getting where we were going and having a great time, the wagon broke down on the way home (not my friend's fault) and the poor horses had to stand on it at the side of the road for an hour and a half before it was fixed, then it was another 45 min journey home! I was so lucky my horse stood well as she can be a nervous traveller. Luckily she was with another horse that calms her down well so they both behaved like angels the whole time, even despite their haynets running out.
