Why does no one want horses on full loan anymore?

Oh, where are you advertised? And where are you? We're in the lookout for a full loan for someone. But can't find anything suitable!
 
I think a big problem is getting attached and then the owner taking the horse back. A few years ago I took on a naughty pony who owner was scared of on loan, as soon ae pony started behaving (took a long time) they took him back and I didn't even have the chance to enjoy the nicely behaved horse. I was soo gutted especially as I later found out he turned naughty again so was chucked in a field where he got laminitis and was pts.

Having said that I have Louie on loan but I took him on with the intention of selling him so although I'm awfully attached to him it won't come really suddenly.
 
A lot of people prefer their horse to remain where they are, no offence to the potential loaner, but because so many just disappear never to be seen again. It's the few spoiling it for the many i'm afraid.

I've sent mine on loan to a private person in the past but would never, ever do it again. Even with a watertight contract in place, abso no way.

However, I WOULD let him go to equine college again. He was well looked after there and schooled too.

Wasn't working livery, that was more money. They also wouldn't be held responsible for any illness or injury to the horse unless it was physically being ridden at the time.
