So, ever since I advertised Mustard he has just been exceptional to ride, everything is pulling together and he's trying so hard. Today I went and jumped in the xc field and he pinged one so brilliantly I was practically thrown out the saddle.
Am thinking now, unless I have luck with finding someone nice for him from his H&H advert this Thursday, I may just have to find money from somewhere and keep him.

Grrrr, why couldnt he be a pain in the backside and make this easier!!

Sounds like he is enjoying it where he is and is trying hard to stay!

Keep him, keep him!

Lol! It does seem to happen that way - Celestial did exactly the same thing to me last year - turned into an angel overnight - be strong, I spent the last year humming and haaing, I have just sold her to a lovely lady who will give her the time she craves and I have to say, it is fab being down to 4!

He must want to stay!

It could be worse - he could be being a little shite - then you wouldn't like him as much as you did and people coming to see him probably wouldn't either!

Sometimes when you take the pressure off yourself to get the horse to perform, they are more able to produce the goods - and it is great to get that feeling from them when you have no real expectations. At least if you sell him someone is going to get a really good horse!

Boss I so know where you are coming from, I am back at the same point as this time last year, too many horses not enough money, yes I can afford to keep them, but I can't afford to do all the things I want/need to do with 2 of them, its just too expensive, plus the fact that the boys have very different training needs, so other than split myself in 2, I don't know what to do!!
I think you should be really strict with yourself and get a new home for Mustard, that way you can concentrate all your time and money on Moon, which I think you might need if you are stepping up to INtermediate this year.
