Why don't big fat hairy cobs fit in the shower?

I've got my first show of the year on saturday and the Orc is looking a mess so thought i'd give him a wash and try to get rid of some winter coat and make some headway with getting his socks white. The results are i'm soaking wet he's rolling in the worst part of his field and he's socks are worse then when i'm started:D It would be so much easier if I could just put him in the bath or shower and then let him wonder round the kitchen till he gets dry just like with the dogs. I wonder what the over half would say if he got home to find orc helping himself to the dougnuts:D

Several folks I know have showers installed at the yard. Stinky loves going to Aunty Sarah as she gives him a warm shower after work - he adores it. Goes and waits with a very happy face for the nice warm water to go on him.

I will boil the kettle to take the edge off, but in summer evil mummy often comes out with the cold hose which being a wimpy hairy cob, he does wimp at that.

One day I will have a nice shower for him - far nicer for me too as I often end up with freezing armpits when doing Farra - 16.3 clydesdale and 5' person are not a good mix at bath time.

I viewed a yard once with an indoor shower for the horses, hot and cold tap tile lined the works. A friend of mine used to work at quite a posh yard, not only did the had a walk in shower for the horses but they also had heat lamps to dry them!
