why don't jockeys like people who don't ride horses going racing ?

i have seen a few jockeys on twitter saying to people oh i bet you've never even sat on a horse, and they seem to think if you don't ride you shouldn't enjoy racing why?



i have never ridden a horse myself but i love racing :confused: surely i am not the only one?
 
Oh no please don't. It's mid winter and we don't have the energy for another loaded troll thread. Let us rest we have another storm coming!

I've never seen a jockey say that on twitter. I work in racing and its not an opinion I've ever heard either.

Do you still want to marry one? ;)
 
As a high % of jockeys don't grow up riding it seems a wacky thing that any of then would say, especially considering who ultimately funds the industry ;)

Those jockeys are such a picky bunch..won't have girlfriends who don't ride and now they don't even like the non riding population..Uuum ..that's a lot of people not to like ;)
 
Jockeys don't actually ride horses, that's an urban myth.

They sit on the back on a sofa (an arm chair will do, but that's a bit less stable so you need better balance) and whack it with a whip. The horses and background are then added in by CGI.

So really, the jockeys are being snobs to themselves too.

OP I hate to be the one to have to tell you this, but its not the non-riding population that jockeys don't like, it's only you. Sorry, but they've decided amongst themselves that they're just not into you. Try footballers instead.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one to do this all those years ago! Using my mum's handbag strap for reins. Now I know Jockeys do it too I may just sell all my horses and get back on the sofa horse!
