I never walked Andy from our old house because it was in the middle of an estate. The new house is right next to a park
smile.gif
so yesterday I decided to walk him round it.

The path from the road to the park is about 300 metres long. I counted over 50 dog poos
crazy.gif
along there
mad.gif
There is a dog bin at the start and the end of the path. In the park itself there are about 10 bins. Walking round the edge it was clear that in the park itself most people lceared up but there were still a lot of them
mad.gif
Then coming back using a different path and along the pavement there were even more - one was right next to a bin!!

GRRRRRR!!

*takes deep breath*

Our street can be like this
mad.gif
In fact I was just talking to a neighbour about it as there is a partially sighted lady who walks down our street and she can't see the crap to avoid it
frown.gif

Oh and 1 neighbour has no control over her dog, he regularly comes into our garden and pees and craps everywhere
mad.gif

She still doesn't put him on the lead
confused.gif

and she doesn't come in and clean up
mad.gif

Oh I have to agree - it's something that really makes my blood boil!
mad.gif
People at our local park are generally quite good, (center of town) but out on the bridleways people don't seem to think they have to bother!

Because some years ago when I was out walking with my now all late three dogs, on our way home at the walk, two turned out to have diarrhoea and I simply ran out of poo-bags...
blush.gif

By the way, I had about ten bags with me.
blush.gif

Urgh I hate it. I always have millions of bags on me as dougal can average about 5 events
smirk.gif
per walk

And have on occasion offered bags to people who just walked away from their dogs mess. The majority sheepishly clean it up but a few have gotten very arsey with me.

I'd love to have the balls to do that, TB!

It is a pet hate of mine. Even if I am on a long yomp I will hide the bag and get it on the way home.
I have even been known to lift other people's dog's poo, so that people won't assume it is us, as we would be the most prominent (dogs nuts, me dressed like a numpty) and frequent users of our walks.

A lot of people look at me like I have two heads when I start lifting it up - much better to just leave it there, obviously.

I've done that too! One man told me 'I couldn't possibly pick it up, YUK, I use that hand to hold me fag'
mad.gif
I told him in that case I would have to pick it up as I couldn't leave it and that shamed him into doing it.

I also once saw a woman in the distance watch her dog have a crap and walk off. I knew which car was hers so left a rude note on her windscreen telling her I'd shove her dog crap up her exhaust if I saw her leave it again!

Little charmer aren't I

A lady near my aunt used to bring her dogs to the top of their road in her car (lady with dogs lived around the corner) and let the dogs out to run in peoples gardens while she drove slowly down the road. My aunt asked her several times to walk her dogs properly ie on a lead and to get her a**e out of the car and to clean up the mess but she refused. The next time the dog crapped on her lawn, my aunt picked it up and put it through said lady's letterbox - dog never came back down their road!

Its a constant source of complaints at our yard - despite being allowed to walk our dogs across all the fields there are acouple who don't and let them run around the yard and then ignore the fact they need to clean up after them.

PS Aunt breeds Irish Setters so is dog friendly!

Because they are lazy (mainly). Mind the more vile ones are the retards that pick up their dogs poo (in the middle of nowhere) and because there are no bins, tie poo bag to the nearest tree!!!

Now where is the sense in that???

I was discussing this with my nextdoor neighbour when I got home and she couldn't understand why I clean up after my dog...
confused.gif
I think I've moved into a Twilight Zone
crazy.gif
The only time I didn't clear up after Andy was when he had diarrhoea and it was raining heavily. By the time I got the bag out it had been washed away
grin.gif

Is she a dog owner?! Sorry, if you're prepared to put food in one end of a dog, you should be prepared to pick up what comes out the other.

If people are so disgusted by poo, why have a dog?
I was taught to clean up after my pets as soon as I was physically able, never did me any harm, why are people so precious about it?

Yes she's got two and three at weekends. I've never seen them in the garden so they must walk them away from the house for them to do their business
mad.gif

I have to say I'm faintly disgusted by poo
blush.gif
it makes me gag when I clear it up but I still clear it up

People do that near you?

Family dogs seem to hold it in for walks with me
smirk.gif
so for years now I take a cheap box of nappy bags with a nasty old backpack (that neverEVER comes inside
tongue.gif
) to pop full bags in when we are not near a bin.
No reason at all to not pick up,except maybe in FLH's case of runny bottoms
blush.gif
Two at one? Poor you!

ETS,the poo bag also had a trip to our local park last time I took R there, was sick to death of all the crap in the fenced off childs play area with the lovely NO DOGS signs all around it
smirk.gif

It was so typical also, I usually have dozens or more in my pockets, but that day I still remember checking them before the walk and thinking "Oh, I'm running a little short but I have more than two each and a few in reserve, I'll wait until tomorrow and get new ones out of the drawer to put in my pocket".
g070.gif
Of course that day had to coincide with my girls needing to "go" more than they ever had, either before or after that day.

One thing that I really dislike with poo not being removed, is when I have to wash other dogs poo, off one of my dogs paws after a walk
p030.gif
. I mean my dogs poo is not exactly a pleasure to handle, but at least it's from my little girls
c030.gif
. It might be very illogical of me, but other dogs poo is simply more disgusting when I have to clean it off my dogs...

It's not as if they ever would step in it deliberately, but sometimes it's just so much that an accident easily happens.

I live and ride on the trans penine trail. People come from miles around to walk their dog (in cars parking up inconsiderately too).

Most don't pick up poo (I could see from my window in my old house) Often filled bags are dumped in the verges - always makes me want to heave when I look. This is a beauty spot, there are bins, why would you come to a scenic area and then ruin it.

I've two dogs and manage to clear mine fine.

I see that here too. Don't get it at all
confused.gif
Why go to the trouble of doing the hard bit just to leave it on a verge or like you say ....up a tree????? It's worse than not picking it up as then it hangs around forever, at least if it was left it would eventually rot into the ground.

Never get the mentallity of someone who walks in a beauty spot only to ruin it by leaving their dogs crap for everyone else to step in/smell/ look at.

It makes me sooooo cross when people don't pick up after their dogs.
everytime I wash my coat, trousers I have to empty the pockets of poo bags (Empty ones!!!) I seem to have a selection in every pocket.
I do have to admit to sometimes leaving the poo bags to pick up on the way back if I am doing a "there and back" walk, but I ALWAYS pick them up on the way back.

when i walk the 10mins to work i have to stare at the ground...there are poo's all along the high street despite there being doggy bins at either end.
its disgusting. once me and pooch were 'caught short' with no bag, so i scooped it up in a make shift one using paper from my handbag!! i couldnt imagine leaving it there for someone else to step in - disgusting. if i see anyone not picking up after their dog i glare and offer them a bag of mine to shame them into picking up!!
