My friends just bought a dog - she's never had a dog before and I'm all up for people getting first dogs and learning etc, fantastic!
However...
how long does it take to look on the internet to find a reputable rescue home? Rather than going to the rescue kennels which are reknowned for bringing puppy farmed puppies up from Wales and other places and have charged them MORE than we paid for our pedigree GSD and Goldie for an 8 week old Skye Terrier x Yorkie.
I just don't understand that people don't have a look around first and get references from people about the kennels they're taking dogs from
I know countless people who have the same views about said kennels and would have pointed her in the right direction

ETA we have taken rescue dogs on before and love it - there is nothing more rewarding than inviting a rescue dog into your home to learn to trust again. I'm not saying don't get rescue dogs - I'm more for rescues than pedigrees - but please just research the kennels you're buying from!
