Bit Of a rant!!!!
Someone at a friends yard had told the YO previously that she didnt want her horse having banks in the stable because it made the bed look 'messy' and was costing her too much money! The YO tried to explain that because the stables were not the best of sizes being relatively small - I think around 9ft x 9ft (dont quiz me on that though!!!) and the horse needed them in the case of him becoming cast - the horse is not tiny either, standing at 16.2 - but she kept on and after a few weeks the horse just had a small flat bed.
Anyway...cut a long story short...Last night my friend (who is a groom at the yard) was frantically called down to the yard (by a neighbouring yard owner) in the early hours of the morning, YO is in florida for xmas and the horse had become cast in its stable, poor thing was madly panicking, trying to get a grip on the walls.
Luckily she managed - with the help of neighbouring YO and friends, to get horse up. The poor thing wouldnt stop shaking and had obviously got himself really shaken up so she called out the vets to check him over. Their vets sorted out some minor grazes and cuts and declared him 'VERY LUCKY'
When this story was told to the owner she complained about the vets bills!!!!!!!!!
I am gob smacked still and just cant believe it!
the worst thing is she doesnt even care about the horse!!
sorry really upset me
Heres a maryland cookie for all who read this far
