Why feed seaweed?

Just wondering. I was looking at vit/min supplements for my good doer. I wondered what seaweed does.

Seaweed is an excellent all round vit and min supplement. I have to be careful what I give my mare as she is very sensative to certain additives and sugars and a lot of 'factory' made supplements are quite high in both. Seaweed is excellent for her I feed it along with rosehips for a good all round health supplement. Just make sure its organic though x.

Good all round supplement - my farrier recommended it as being very beneficial for hoof condition.

Why thank you!!! I thought I might try it come the winter, my horse is also quite sensitive to certain feeds.
Rose hips give vits and mins??? So THAT's why my boy was picking and eating them while we stopped for a rest on a hack. Guess he's trying to tell me something!!!!
