Why has this not got a muzzle on ??

What horrific footage, that poor lab, just hope it recovers. Suspect it won't be able to work again after an experience like that though. To answer the title question, it was probably a cross breed of some sort so a muzzle not needed.

that makes my blood boil..... if your dog doesnt like other dogs then either dont take it out in public or muzzle it! the breed of the dog is immaterial. what if that was a child with the lab? hope they catch the bloke and throw the book at him!

This makes me enraged, the dog should be destroyed and the owner tortured to death (what a friggin muppet to walk around with such an unsociable dog that can cause this much damage to another and not even be able to bring it under control........poor dog did not even try to defend it's self......can you imagine if that was your dog

..........can you imagine if it was a smaller and less capable dog that was taking that kind of savaging.........makes my blood run cold....you can def see it's a bull type.....and no im not a bull breed basher, I train and rehabilitate them fresh from the pound as unsociable as that dog.....but my argument will still stand any dog capable of such destruction and aggression in such a short space of time which is beyond human capability/owner to control(esp owner) is my argument to see these breeds banned *waits for the onslaught* and yes it's the deed not the breed........but really it's the useless feckless owner/human and they will never be held accountable for their ignorance so Im afraid Im of the aggreeing with banning of some breeds or start to enforce a friggin capable deterrant and hold those responsible just that.
That owner should be banned for life from keeping any animal.......as clearly he is not capable of handling one.

But you're not blind. Poor Owner would have more than likely heard her dog screaming, other dog going nuts and other dog's owner shouting. Must have been absolutely terrifying for her.

These days u need a slip lead to choke the offending dog and cut of it's air supply and a claw hammer to beat the owner

That poor lab - and the poor poor blind lady.

A "bull type" attacked my bosses old Retriever outside a lower school a few years ago. Sam was a 12 year old, soft as tripe old boy, and it always really upset me to think of him being attacked, but how easily it could have gone for one of the kids. Doesn't bare thinking about.

I hope the guy is caught, and that dog PTS immediately - shocking.
 
I saw it on TV this morning and was horrified for all concerned.
I feel however that it is not always the dog's fault that it is so aggressive, but the owner who does not have the first clue about training and care for their dogs.
It is far too easy for any muppet to just go and get a dog. There is no legislation as to who can and who can't have any dog, be it a pitbull, lab, JRT or whatever. Who remembers the Tv programme a while ago about those thugs who get dogs as a "status Symbol" or to "protect them against gang warfare"?
I don't usually get on my high horse about things,like to think I am a fairly tolerant person, but it makes my blood boil when this sort of thing happens, the dog is pts but the owners get away scot free.
 
Exactly.....it' never the dogs fault....but hunans will never be held accountable....the dog can not continued to be owned by such a thick headed moron and it can not be passed on for this to be repeated, as much as it sickens me dogs that this are pts, it sickens me more to see other pets maimed and killed by them when in the hands of dick heads.....there are not enough people out there to work with these types of dogs, hence why there are hundreds as we speak right now being slid into body bags as there pound day comes to it's last, and hence why I would rather they never had been here in the first place to end up in hands like this arse hole or rotting in a pound.
Totally get your point though.
