It's our village Steam Fair this weekend. It's getting bigger by the year and attracts HUGE traction engines that, from this afternoon will be lumbering and clanking past the farm to the show ground.

Now, I don't know about your horses, but however good M is, I'm not sure I would quite be able to tell him that the enormous, metal, hissing, clanking, mega-tonne steaming monster was nothing to worry about...

Anyone ever met one on a hack?? I used to have to hack over/under a steam train track in Leicestershire but that's the nearest lol

One of the yards I ride at, has a couple 'living' next door to it, so all the horses are perfectly used to them :) But don't blame you for not hacking out :P

Lucy wouldn't care we've met some very strange things out hacking and she always wants to investigate wheather they contain food. :p :D
Horrid on the other hand would prob have a compleat nervous breakdown.

(We went to a steam fair last weekend. The kids got to ride on a steamroller. Thay loved it)

helicopter circled over horses loose in field i went to expect
5yr old having a fit they couldn't care two hoots as it landed other side of hedge sometimes can't workout why and what spooks them, didnt care about hot air balloons either but had a dog that was scared stiff of them when tiny speck in horizon.

Yes I have met one!! On the hill in the villiage, My boy grew a couple of hands but went past - If I'd have been on my mare I would have still been galloping for the hills!!!!
