I've shared horses and ponies for 20+ years now, both as the sharee and the owner. I never had a problem getting a sharer for my 17.1 horse but seem to be having trouble getting someone to share the kids pony.
Both the horse( who's sold now) and the pony are the laid back, suit anyone sorts. So why did every one who shared the horse stay for years and no one wants to share the pony for more than a few months?

Probably because kids get bored and want something new all the time, non horsey mums also get bored of going to see the pony.

When you get a good sharer/loaner you have to hang on to them you know!

Don't say it's hard - I'll need a sharer for my pony in a few months

Er....... how are you supposed to hang onto someone who doesn't want to share your horse for whatever reason anymore??
