was looking to get some hi vis leg bands/wraps but the only ones i can find are just 2 small strips of hi vis for £8?!! was also looking for other hi viz items e.g. a hat band or bridle/rein attachments but I really cant justify paying so much for a tiny piece of material.

Anyone know where you can get things cheaper?? I would try making something but 1) I have no time and 2) im not exactly the creative type!!

It isn't just hi viz though is it...everything for the horse owner is always over priced.

Best bet is to look on ebay for some bargains.

have a look on ebay for high viz self adhesive tape - I got a big roll for about a fiver and then stuck some on an old hat silk, and some on the boots I use for hacking - cheap and cheerful and does the job :)

I bought some hi viz leg wraps off of eBay for £1.99 for a set of 4. Have had them for over a year and they have been washed on numerous occasions and are still like new.

Buy short or long sleeve polo shirts for yourself, and jackets and waistcoat too. The stuff worn by bin men and road lenders. Dead cheap.

Look at work wear sections in builders' merchants. They have masses of things and all much cheaper than in equestrian shops.

Because it is for horses, and because you're not creative but someone else is ;-)

Have a look at glo hearts, they make cute hi vis, not all of it has hearts on! I think my leg bands were about 6 pounds per pair on offer, but they are cute :-)

Totally agree if not for the horse I'm all about the workman style tabards etc!

Aldi when they have their horse stuff in is great I have an exercise sheet for £10 a pack that contained hat band and bridle bands for about £5 and they wash fantsticly
