Why is it still nuts in here when it is comp season now?!

It's only about 3 hours or so each way?

I did 1500miles in 36 hours when I went to see D. I also stopped for dinner with a buddy in Edinburgh on my way home, so I wasn't anywhere near flat out :D

Cardifffff. Going to see a neddy with a friend :) Just a super short day trip! You enjoying yourself? Definitely don't want blech welsh weather! :D

Ah, fair enough! Going scrambling on the Saturday and bouldering (climbing) on the Sunday so assuming the weather is good, yup :D If you fancy hanging out with a mange-y bunch of students for an hour there's always food! THough I don't really know where cardiff is...probably miles away from Capel Curig :p

On a different note, Reg won't be appearing at Ely... His round at Poplar shows he's very ready to make the move to 1m now and the 90cm at Ely is a long way for one round! Sad times- hope you all have fun :D

3 hours it took nearer 5 when I last went!! but that was from home  wouldnt have thought it made that much diffrence though. Have a good time though :)

Haha I won't even have my car or any control over where we go - I'm pushing hard enough to lurk in Cardiff (and hang out in the hope of the rift opening and the doctor appearing in his tardis) for a couple of hours as it is :p So I shall see you on the 1st instead ;)

Scrambling / bouldering will be awesome in Wales though - rather jealous! :D

I just saw a schedule for a fun ride on sunday... Not too far away, thought it might be a laugh...

It is 6 miles short (i.e. more of a warm up than a ride ) and "quiet canters only in the morning, afternoon walk and trot"

That's not a ride, that is purgatory

*thread hijack!*

If you fancy company and can pick up....... *looks hopeful*:o:D

We may struggle with 'quiet canter' though....

:(:(:( lolo this makes me very sad :(. Was it my offer/threat to chuck you up on the yellow pony :p

Yes :P I'm not getting on a horse for anything, unless Al is shouting at me- I'd be scared to ruin/ break him! You'll have to do loads of PC stuff this summer and then we'll definitely bump into you :D

If it was a proper length hack or we were allowed a hooley I would :o I'd want to go round 2 or 3 times if it's only 6 miles  If you're in that sort of area though we could do a proper one sometime though? (*now me looking hopeful* :p)

I think I'll just take him showing this weekend... I guess it will get his pelham out for a debut

*makes mental note must get Al on side to get lolo on the yellow pony* :D

Trust me he is fairly hard to ruin, I should know I do a fairly good muppet impression on him  and you wouldnt break him he a sturdy native. We will try to do as much PC stuff as we can, which reminds me whens the event your mum organizes?

I would def be up for that :D (TBH up to go pretty much anywhere, can't afford to hire a box on my own, but getting very bored of the local hacking!) although I think Madam would struggle with 12 miles at the moment, she tends to bounce the first few miles in exciting company and then runs out of steam half way round! Easter holiday in a couple of weeks though, so lots of free time to get her fitter!

Area wise I'm about 5/10 mins away from Jesstickle. I think Cam & district RC have a fun ride mid-April near Huntingdon?

ETA We are very good at hooleying :D:cool::D

Because I seem to be running a retirement home for useless horses and ponies. I would love to be out competing. It's even reached the point where I am wondering if I can face the embarassment of taking the 13.2 poncy arab thingy to a walk and trot test at a local equestrian centre. Is it bad that even I am wondering how long my 35 year old can go on for? Until she goes, I don't have anything (proper) to ride. :(

April 12th, at Blackwater Farm. Super friendly if you fancy it- no matter what happens you can keep going!

Cool, I'm essex, so we'll see if there's something up your way and go out and have a bit of fun :D I'm bored witless with my hacking but not 100% sure what the beast would do at a proper endurance ride by himself with everyone hurtling past him  (and not pathetic enough to go to a 6 mile walk/trot ride either :o )

I like the sound of that one :D

I will check my pony planner tomorrow when I get back to uni and see what we are up to that weekend when do entries close?

5th April :)

Mum watched me get eliminated on so many ponies who twigged if they stopped 3 times at the forst fence they didn't have to do anything else... So has decided that the spirit of PC should be as long as you're not unsafe, you can keep on going!

Sounds like just what he may need he did his first full course at camp last summer and it slightly blew his brain  and we had a few issues with the pony eating fence judges requiring us to canter sideways . So I'm hoping that a HT at isleham and ely and he will be better but theres no telling and he normally has a moment at a new water so we may very well get eliminated.

dh, okie dokie. Shall I do our entry today?

2'9'' pairs right?

Malibu_Stacy, I don't know if Puppy wants to come to Ely next weekend, I'll check, but if she doesn't and you fancy hunter trialling I'll happily come and get you en route. I'm pretty sure there is a schooling round that's about 2'3'' or something?
