....this exceptionally fat pony I aquired, currently on a strict diet, can barely waddle around the block in long reins yet has managed to clear his stable door, from practically a stand still, as I brought him in for the farrier and he was left alone for the grand total of 2 minutes whilst I fetched Vogue?

Luckily he hasn't hurt himself, but it was a bit of a shock meeting him in the doorway.

Silly boy, the thing is, he has absolutely no qualms about being in at all, and quite happily went back to bed and stood munching a haynet.

Just as well really, since the farrier was meant to be here almost an hour ago

I think I might get OH to put the anti-weave grill I had for Henry up, as I'm a bit worried, he knows he can do it and I'm worried he'll decide to try it when he thinks he should be out, or I'm taking too long doing haynets etc...next time he probably won't be so lucky.....

I can't believe he managed it tbh, he's a kind of square pony, with a leg at each corner, fat deposits everywhere and a cherry shaped bum with a very deep guttering, I didn't realise, but it's actually harder getting weight off him than it was putting it on Henry. He's on a very strict diet of a tiny starvation paddock, soaked hay in small holed nets and an exercise program I'm practically fanatical about, come wind, rain or shine we're out there, long reining, leading him from vogue or hacking out, and it's shifting so slowly.
