My horse is usually an angel to catch, walks over to me and in he comes but this last week hes getting worse each evening  Its like he wants to come in but doesnt want me to lead him in. Every evening its taking longer and it is SO frustrating!! Any ideas?

You may need to spend even more time (Even after time wasted trying to catch him) once you catch him spend ages making a big fuss of him so he wants to be caught, (also tid bits such as carrots are a quick solution but will not last unless you employ the big fuss and attention too) it shouldn't take long for him to want to come in as long as you are giving him what he wants.

Has anything changed (his routine etc) or happened since he started acting up? Odd you say it is like he wants to come in - perhaps he is scared of something?

Nothing has changed in his routine, and always gets fed in his stable so its a positive place for him to be. Even after 2 weeks box rest when i was able to turn him out for the afternoon he was good as gold to catch.

I am inclined to think its spring in the air and am thinking of leaving them out this weekend, its just that the fields are so wet still.
