Pullinh/messing with his bit....
http://youtu.be/HCYBeMEfZSo

He does it when hacking out/standing still/resting etc etc. his teeth have been checked and are fine, he does it in 3 different bits and his bridle fits fine. Not sure whether to try no flash? He also doesn't have to have a contact, he will just do it. Any ideas? Not only is it irritating, I am just worried!

He doesn't look comfortable. I'd personally get rid of that flash and put in the mildest bit I could find. I'd probably get a second opinion on his mouth as well. But no great expert.

It might just be the angle of the vid, but it looks to me as if the bit is too long for him, I would also loose the flash. Is the bit single jointed?

Yea in the video i dont think he looks comfortable. Little would you know he just won his 2 classes as a happy chappy! He's normally in a snaffle and still does it. Ill get my mum to ride no flash as I don't ride in the week. Thanks

If he's chewing it could be that he's actually relaxed and giving in the mouth, it's hard to tell from the vid especially as he's wearing a flash

It looks a bit wide to me...and possibly lying too low on his tongue as a result....looks like he's trying to push (or suck) it higher up into his mouth....could be wrong, though. Have you tried a slightly smaller bit to see whether he still does it?
