hi there

I did a 'how much' for G a while ago and have now had the ad up on horsemart this week, and have had no calls! I guess I will need to drop the price to get more people viewing the ad - or is the wording or photos off-putting?

Would be really nice to know what you think I should change or if I am just being too impatient.

The wording is ok, maybe say more about what you have done with her, lunging, hacking, walking in traffic. I would probably remove the last photo if it were me and maybe lower the price as it seems quite high for a very green youngster.

I have no idea, maybe the price? I sold my BD affiliated 6 year old for £3750 and he had points was registered SHB(GB), jumped, won in Showing classes and was a bomproof hack and sold with tack. But if you dont sell her I would loan her- i think shes lovely, but I have to admit, I would not be able to stretch to more than £3000 unless I knew it had "the" best paces!

She looks like a sweetheart though!

Hmmm its hard to judge, any pics of her trotting loose, or a video, are her paces clean, loose and does she have natural ability to use her frame and if she has potential for eventing or dressage try lowering to £3250 ono but I have a feeling that a lot of people put in £3000 as their max amount when they search for horses on horsemart. The only other thing you could try is putting in more info in instead of lowering the price and yes that last pic does not do her justice ie hacks beautifully alone in company, goes first/ last etc Snaffle mouth, easy to do in all ways, boxes easily etc. In my ad I spoke about my horse with affection and everyone who saw him said they could see it was an honest sad sale and thats why they called if that makes sense? They could tell I was no dealer trying to flogg a dodgy animal. Im not saying that you are in any way, but if they sense that the animal is loved then they will be more happy knowing it is a safe, sound animal. I get this imprssion from your add so keep that but add more info maybe?

thanks shadowmonkey! I am really really sad about selling and tried not to get too emotional in my ad if that makes sense? I was a bit worried that a too personal ad would put people off but I see your point.

I have reduced price to 2950 and included some more information in the text. Hopefully that price is about right. I would still take lower offers for a good home :-)

I'm a bit of a cynic and ask 'what about the things NOT mentioned?' For instance, you said easy to catch, but no mention of farrier, loading , traffic etc. Just a thought, but it might help (unless those areas aren't very good , which I'm sure they are)
