Why isn't my van selling?

Have you any any interest at all? Mine is advertised too on various sites including horsemart and uptil tonight and dropping price considerably have had no interest at all. Although you would probably put it in the rustbucket category LOL. It isn't I hasten to add, just not very pretty or coachbuilt!

Photo doesnt help much. I think people just arent buying at the moment. A cople of weeks of sunshine and horse shows , everything is just too depressing at the moment.

Not sure, personally I think it looks and sounds lovely but then I'm not in the market! My first thought was the first photo that comes up is on it's side...not so easy to view, on first looking. I'd also mention if it has been owned from new by 1 careful lady driver or similar - am assuming no external damage, and that you've had it from new (as the loo is unwrapped), full service history or something about how 'sound' it is might help, being it's 10 years old?

It's a little 'plain' from the side on view, so I wonder if a side front view placed right way up on screen would look good as a 'first impressions' picture?
Hope that helps?

- change the sideways photo. i'd dismiss it almost instantly because of that, they make me feel queasy!
-put mileage
- put current weight and payload
- be honest about what it CAN carry legally (it won't be 2x15.2hh)
- put the engine size/type
- what condition is it mechanically? normal brakes/air brakes etc
- try and get a better interior photo
- what condition are the floor/ramp in
- what are floor/ramp made of

they are all the things i can think that i'd want to know. and i spent a long time looking for a little lorry.

i'd also drop the price a bit if you're looking for a quick sale. x

Thanks, didn't know that about LDV. its actually a ford transit engine in an ldv chassis so will add that.

Going down to take some better pictures tomorrow so hopefully that will help.

Would you buy a van that is on it's side?

Mileage unknown?

Two big red flags and however nice the box is you have to get people to see it.

Change the sideways photos.
Get a better photo from the back, a more face on one.
Better interior pic, to give a better idea of the size and how much room there is for the horses.
If you can put the weight unloaded.
Take out the bit about the loo, you can tell people aboult that when they call.
Take out the bit about people commenting, as above.
Engine size & condition plus any info mechanical brakes etc.

Personnally its not my type of box but might be suited to a mum with pony club kids.

i have just sold an ldv with a ford transit engine for 4k. it was older than yours (s) reg but only had 100k on the clock. It also had hob, oven, grill fridge, bed in the luton etc in it and was in very good nick, also had a years tax and years mot on it so ithink maybe the price is alittle high??

So glad so many have commented on the sideways photos as I thought it was just me that gets bugged by it!
Why do people put sideways photos on ads when it is so easy to turn them round?

I think everything is a bit slow at the moment selling wise. Not many shows or things to go to so people not looking for transport. Hopefully will pick up in another month....

As above, change the sideways photo. Also besides all the other helpful comments, state if it is a conversion or a coachbuilt box. When I was looking, I was only interested in coachbuilt. Think yours is a conversion, but not sure? State which it is, either way.
