So ok as we all know christmas is coming round the corner and cash is tight.. Just had a big vets bill & huge livery bill, bought some new rugs.. oops couldnt resist.. anyway tonight after riding said horse decided to put head over door while i was untacking, she managed to catch her throatlash on the door bold and great pulls back and snaps it.. God knows where i'm gonna find the cash for a new headpeice/bridle..

Why me at this time of year..

anyone know of place to get very very cheap bridle that will last till February untill i get some cash??

If you are at a yard, perhaps someone will have a box of spare bits and bobs, as you do, that you can rummage through to tied you over?

Reminds me ... of when I was tacking up my friends horse recently, he caught his breast plate on his door chain, and all I heard was a snap and he shot backwards, and that cost her £30 ish, but she refused to let me pay for it ... she is so grateful that I help her by riding her old boy for her .... thats what friends are for tho

I'm sure someone at your yard will have a spare headpiece/bridle you could borrow for a little while. Failing that, I got a bridle off ebay for £18! I got it for my youngster so I don't care if it breaks! I got it about 6 months ago and it's still fine. Happy Christmas!

i recently sold a bridle on ebay for about £4. It was only a cheap Olympian one, but only used a couple of times
