This week's H&H online poll asks whether you think Madonna, Jordan, Jodie Kidd, Susan George or another has made the largest contribution to raising the profile of equestrianism.
Now Katie Price is bound to come out on top as she is fresh in everyone's minds but doesn't Zara count as a celebrity and if so she must have done more for horse sport than the lot of them put together?

Since Madonna is reputed to own a Cholderton Cleveland Bay she gets my vote any da

Well here's how I see it. All those list are celebs first and then you find out that they ride, have taking up riding etc. Whereas Zara is a horsewomen and not really a celeb, but a member of the Royal Family. Had she not as been as successful eventing, I doubt we would've heard much about her. Does that make sense?

Can see others' points but ... I run a guide unit and they were asked to vote for their most inspiring role model across the board, and Zara won, Dame Kelly Holmes a close second, so the percentage of the group who did not know much about equestrianism now do, chiefly due to Zara. If you see what I mean.
