Just did some last minute jumping practise before Solihull tomorrow & fell off
We were approaching an upright, jumped on abit of a long stride & Pepper didn't pick up his legs properly, so he got all tangled up in the pole..
So he fell on his knees, threw me clear & rolled over to get up.
Lucky bugger is absolutely fine, same can't be said for me though
When I fell, I must have landed with my right arm underneath me, so when I got up I was in absolute agony!! It hurts just below my shoulder in front. I think I've pulled/torn several muscles around there. Am (near my collarbobe) now typing very slowly with my left hand as I have my right arm in a sling!!
I managed to get back on pepper (after my mum had walked and trotted him round to check he was sound & after I had been bent double for about 10mins in sheer pain!) but only sat on him because I could feel myself about to faint!
Managed to get off in time though - carried by my poor mum!
So then I asked her to jump him over a couple to make sure he hadn't shocked himself & he was an angel bless him
I think I'll see if he's okay tomorrow and then decide whether I'll compete or not - I hope there aren't any sharp right turns on the XC, or I'll be in even more pain!
Pepper has to travel in the lorry there anyway because my mum's mare won't load on her own (my mum is also competing!)
Sorry about this post, I'm such a whinger!
If there's any doctors reading maybe you could diagnose me!
Must stock up on the ibuprofen.....
