Why on earth do YOU use the H&H Forum then eh?!!

I use it for learning/ finding out opinions on stuff/ whats going on in horse world as I have no horsey friends and have horses on a farm so rarely see people up there.

It is also useful for avoiding housework!

I love the fact that someone always seems to have an answer to my problem.
There are heaps of weird, wacky, wonderful, witty and way out people that love horses as much as I do and are keen to share their knowledge and experience.
Plus it also breaks up the monotony of cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing and all the important chores I should be doing rather than being here on the forum :D

Indeed, and let's throw our tellies out the window while we're at it! :p (Seriously!)

I almost never watch tv since I got addicted to HHO. I don't have a laptop, my pc is installed in a sort of cupboard (once the larder) in the corner of the kitchen. So when I'm on here, I'm actually in the kitchen cupboard! :o

I originally came here because I needed advice (which I got :)) but now I'm a bit of an addict. I find in educational, funny and thought-provoking.

But I really should spend more time outside this cupboard... :o

I 'reward' myself with it...look after baby for 2 hours, 5 minutes on HHO, work for 1 hour, 5 minutes on HHO. I think I am addicted though!

I spend equal time on Mumsnet and occassionally check on French Entree Forum.

These days? Just for light reading :D

Joined in early 2004, used it sporadically for almost 2 years then wandered off.......
When I had something I needed to google in late 2010 'pop' - up came the forum on a link.
Could not remember my password to log back in (too much time elapsed) so re-started myself off again :)

Somtimes it a bit like reading the newspapers - some days its the Sun or Star, othertimes a bit of Guardian, occasionally the FT or the Times... with a bit of Cosmo,Bella and Best lobbed in too :D

Because there is a wealth of information and advice on here, along with a blooming good laugh quite often! Plus I'd also like to think sometimes my useless babbling is entertaining or informative to others!

I have it on my phone too so no escape! Love it really though! :)

Because I am a famous Olympic rider & in real life horsey people are too overwhelmed by how superior & excellent I am, so don't get chance for horsey conversations. I don't normally mention my internationally respected brilliance as I am very very modest as you can tell from this post, & don't want to give the game away.

Here's a question - Why do you use the HHO Forum??!
.....
Do we need to Get A Life??

Because logging on in the morning is like having just one jaffa cake. It's impossible to leave it at just once and you have to keep coming back for more :D. Whether that be to check up on those folks needing vibes or high fives or learning how to do (or not do) something new.

OK, so my status might be 'just weaned' or whatever, but number of logons per day certainly does = Need to Get a Life :D

opinions/ideas/suggestions/support/ - its a bit like a good livery yard but on the computer - dont question it they might stop it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am soo addicted especially on my phone! I am buying a horse and this has made me feel like I know what I am doing and what to expect buying and of course owning! Honestly its a lot less scary now, god bless you internet and all your information!

Most importantly I do not have horsey friends or family so need to give them a break from my yawnsome horse stories!

Started browsing because my friend kept mentioning HHO, lets just say her online life was very different to real life.
I kept coming back because despite the fact I apparently live in a horsey area, there are no horsey people about, so this is the only way I can 'talk' about horses (though I don't post much, more lurk). I couldn't talk about my weekend riding with my school friends as they'd moan it was all I talked about - they spent more time ranting that was all I talked about then I did talking about horses

Now it's one of the only horsey "connections" I have as I can't ride until I've relearnt to walk properly and it's just a bad idea after 2years of leg surgery. And there's the small fact there is no where to ride around here!
