Parallel to what?

If there is a paralell then its between refusing to shoot deer and refusing to shoot prisoners.

I certainly wouldn't equate a law saying deer must be shot to one saytng people must be shot. However the law is still wrong to say that deer must be shot even though they are not people.

However it is an established principle that people have the right to disobey unjust laws as I do by breaking the Hunting Act.

I'm trying to conduct a philosophical debate about the rights and wrongs of obeying laws that say we must kill.

I'm arguing against killing deer for god's sake!

No, they haven't. It's a hypothetical question. Which you are obviously not going to answer.

There is one a bit like it covering wild mammals though.

I have a right to refuse to shoot deer even though doing so is illegal. Chasing deer with my dogs is harmless and it is better for them to be chased once they are flushed out than shot so that is what I am going to do.

Do you think it would be better for the deer to be chased by four pet collies, or shot?

I know you won't answer that question RS. I'm asking it to demostrate that you can't answer it.
