why so cheap!!!!

just wanted to know thoughts on dealer and why this horse might be so cheap..I am no novice and buy and sell myself..but it looks alright type of horse, although does look a little older than what it states...but thats just my opinion...wasnt really looking to buy at the mo tbh...but I live in south wales and only really know the dealers around here...

Stay well clear!!!

I bought from this dealer and had many many problems as did many other people

took him to court and if u google his name u will see how many people have had issues with him

he picks half his horses up from the meat man on their way to slaughter and he sold one that was deemed on its passport 'for meat only' as it was dangerous to humans!

awful

I bought my horse from this dealer and was very lucky in that he is perfect for me. However, I do think he has been in trouble with trading standards. When I went to see horse from ad it wasn't there and I ended up falling for my boy instead.
All in all, my experience was a good one but could easily have been bad.

I can tell you why it's so cheap Ted's Mum. Take a look at the front pasterns. I would say that there is a good chance that the suspensory ligament has gone, at least on the nearside leg. The axis is broken. It has poor conformation on the back end too. Doesn't strike me as particulary well put together and I wouldn't give that advert a second glance.

But you know best, maybe if you stopped trawling the bottom end of dealership, you might actually end up with a horse that would stay sound for a while.

I'd send to potters if it wasn't suitable...dont see the point in keeping 'useless' horses....x

'and personally I wouldnt send a horse for meat in any circumstance...'
To quote JessicaBeau in a previous thread...

Just because you have changed you name doesn't mean that what you have posted gets forgotten.

hmmm i suppose if you were local to him you could check horse out with experianced friend but, my motto is (because ive been there and done that )get a horse you can ride safely and have fun on if your a novice or its just a nightmare this horse could /be ok in right hands but if hes paying £200 for them why not go direct to york sales yourself ?There has been lots of threads re this dealer .
Ibought my boy off a small dealer and got a good horse at a good price .
But, sometimes you hear people paying 2-3-k for one and its no good buyer takes a chance i suppose

He looks ok until you get to his knees, below the knee he's got terrible confirmation, it might be the photo but there seems to be some thickening around the tendon on his near foreleg.
If it looks too good to be true it probably is.

Hi, I've not had time to read all of the posts so sorry if this has already been posted. This guy was on watchdog a while ago as he had been misrepresenting the horses he was selling. There was one lady who was thrown off and injured, another whose horse turned out to be unrideable (kissing spines or something) and another who was sold as a quiet family horse, but turned out to be an ex racer with really bad injuries that had to be put down.

Why these people didn't have a vetting I don't know but I woudn't buy off him.
