As for the VERYSERIOUSNOTATALLTONGUEINCHEEKORADIGATANYONE thread because they are cheeky little beggars and you always need your wits about you! And like Fransurrey I refuse to grow up!

The real question is: If you fell off him would you be able to remount from the ground? ;)

No- because he is an evil *****land, and they inevitably run away once they've humiliated you by planting you face down in the mud.

I am NOT speaking from experience.

ANd they then run over to where you have parked your best show hat by the gate (because of course you weren't going to fall off a shitland) and take a big bite out of it, ripping off the velvet.

Not that I am speaking from experience either:)

For nearly 30 years a shitland was the last thing I fell off:eek3:

I bought my 14.2hh pony as I'm 4'11 and I thought she was 16.2 as I couldn't see her back without straining. When I got home I realised I had been short changed (literally) and am now lumbered with an obstinate, overly good doer that is extremely hairy. :D CONNED I WAS

I think all horses are born with the same number of braincells but with a big horse they have to control all that body so they get spread out very thinly. That is why big horses are gormless and sh**lands and small ponies are such wily little b*ggers.

Wish someone would tell Alf he was supposed to be gormless because he's big. Blimmin thing is as sharp as tacks...

I hate surprises. They are usually unwelcome. A bit like ponies :p

Hear hear. I had a visitor yesterday who wanted to meet my new companion horse. She was most surprised to find out that he is 16.1 - thought he'd be a tiny pony, as his job is to be a companion. I don't want a tiny pony -far more hassle than a sweet old horse who doesn't cause a moment trouble.

Who doesn't want the joy of being dumped in spectacular style in front of an audience off a tiny little pony?!

Eta that survey not provide you with enough entertainment? :p

Agreed! The only broken bone I've ever had (bearing in mind I used to ski/snowboard/ride racehorses/eventers) was sustained by being bronced off a 12.2 :o

I only have littleuns

Tommy is 14.1hh and at the minute the biggest of our Crewe I also have a 13.3 and 13.2 and a traddy 2yr old to make 14.2hh. I owned my 13.2hh since I was 17 and cannot part with her she's cheap to feed doesn't need shoes or masses of rugs so that's why I stuck with natives and cobs I do have a soft spot for tbs and will have one again but for now my ponies suit me
