Why the hell do we own horses?

We had a bad accident in the field today

The horses were fighting and Sue, who I keep Tont with and is 69, was trampled and knocked unconscious

She was bleeding from the nose and the ear, and was confused so she's been taken to hospital. It's a bit of a wake up call of how dangerous they can be

We must be mad! I broke my jaw on Friday when my horse's head collided with my cheek. My 3rd horse related injury this year that has resulted in a trip to hospital!!!!!

Hope your friend recovers quickly. Having been knocked out in a fall a couple of months ago, and waking up in an ambulance I can say it isn't nice! Sending lots of healing vibes your way!!!!!

Yes, horses are dangerous - even when they're not trying to hurt us. It's easy to forget that they weigh half a ton and have a very small brain! Hope your friend is OK.

I hope she will be okay! I do sometimes wonder!! Although I think sometimes we can forget how dangerous it can be! Iv been sat in the field with my two on the floor whilst they were eating their hay tonight. Put my music on iPhone on loudspeaker and was chatting away to them! Well a pheasant darted out, it was almost pitch black and they jumped and nearly squashed me! I thought to myself, what an idiot I was!!

Realy sorry to hear about your friend, hope she's OK although a bit sore and shocked

We keep horses because they are amazing animals although can be unpredictable sometimes. Having said that, accidents happen all the time and not just with horses.

Just a quick update

She's home from hospital now and is feeling a lot better, although still in a bit of shock about what happened
