Well done! One and a half should hopefully be easily resolved with physio and injections. So pleased for you it wasn't worse and you got it early.

We did full lameness assessment on hard and soft ground, lunging, then flexion of lower and upper hind limb for 1min. All negative and totally sound which is do concerning, she'd have passed a vetting! How scary for those of us buying based on vettings. The kissing spine really is not severe so she should be very treatable.

If she doesn't show a drastic improvement we'll look into SI and stifle. We are using the injections as a diagnostic, if she shows big improvement I'll have an operation done to release the ligaments surrounding the affected spinous process.
Also I have to treat jumping with care as we need to see if she's more happy to jump but the pain memory will be strong. I'm thinking a very gentle intro back into it, no Spurs or whips. It will be tricky, maybe I'll see if she'll free jump first so she can teach herself it's if it hopefully doesn't hurt.

Its just possible that she doesn't like or want to show jump . I had a horse that wouldnt jump a 2ft 9 course in cold blood ,yet cleared five ft 6 inch in a chase me charlie, because he was a competetive SOB . He loved to race and went over to point to pointing ,even though he was only 15 .2 HH .That was in the days when the minimum height for fences at 4 ft 3 in was enforced. He loved it , just hated show jumping.

Horses with KS seem to cope far better with galloping and jumping single fences than they do with Dressage and SJ. I would imagine down to the engagement needed in the latter.
