I've been trying to sell some sports medicine boots on EBay, but have had no luck. They are Professional Choice ones from America which I bought last year but have only used a handful of times. The only thing that I can think of that might put people off is that they are red and slightly marked by a rubber surface? They were the cheapest ones on EBay and yet no takers - what do you folks think?

Have you sold stuff on ebay before? Or purchased things? If you have very low/non existent feed back then that will put buyers off.
Does the photo you've used show the marks on them so people can see exactly what they're bidding on?
Sometimes it is a bit hit and miss on ebay, I've been embarrassed with the price some of my things have gone for but the buyers have been over the moon with them. Then other things have gone so cheaply I've wished I hadn't put them on at all.

To be honest, sales of horsey goods is well down this year because the bad weather means people are riding less than normal and competing less than usual too.

I agree ebay can be very hit and miss to be honest.
If they are not selling then try one more time with the relisting fee guaranteed if they sell.
If they don't the next time then hang on to them for when there is a half price listing day and sell then or else wait for the autumn as more people may be in need of them then due to the mud. I mean I know there is mud around now in a lot of places but it is summer and not autumn/winter and I think people are thinking the weather is a phase at the moment.
My advice would be list again ( if only listed one time) if don't sell then wait till around Sept/Oct to relist.

It might be me but i can't see any red ones on there....

Also, red is a bit out of the ordinary. If they were black or white I would think they would sell easily. With red ones you need to find a buyer who specifically wants red.

Thanks guys.
Alibabe -I have sold a few bits on Ebay and have 100% positive feedback - in fact I've just sold a saddle, bridle and 2 numnahs on there. The photo does show the mark and I did mention it in the description as well.

Jumpthemoon - they are large and red (thought the colour might be a problem?)

Have listed them twice now, so will try one more time in a month or two. They are really nice boots, it just seems strange that no-one wants them!!!

Jumpthemoon - the listing's finished now.

Prilly someone will want them don't worry x it's all about being at the right place at the right time on ebay. I can remember one time it took me ages to sell a brand new flash bridle. It was listed around 4 times and I even had a buy it now bidder who didn't pay and then I relisted yet again and finally it sold. I didn't make that much profit on it in the end but the person who bought it was happy so that made me happy.
Hold on in there and if possible try and wait for an offer on the listing fees that ebay seems to do around once a month.
What size are they btw if very large I may be interested in them? Are they foreleg boots? Both my lads have big cannon bones which is why I have to keep listing boots I have bought as they don't bleedin fit

They are large - I used them on my 16.3hh IDxTB, who has fairly chunky legs- and foreleg. The only reason I'm selling them is that I am completely useless at putting them on!!! (d'oh!) I just can't seem to get them on right and they slip down - when my friend does them they are fine, but she's not there every time I want to ride! I've given up now and have bought some idiot proof ones.

So I'm not asking too much money with a £15 start bid either then? It MUST be the colour! My horse is chestnut (very orange!) so they didn't look nice on him, but I don't care too much about colour I just wanted those type of boots. They'd look really nice on a bay or black horsey.

I sell quite a bit on ebay. And have actually sold a set of full size red SMB successfully.

Are the pictures good - no reserve - and good descriptionn???

Also was the postage realistic price wise??
