Why would you say it ? *teensy weensy rant*

If you were waiting on the vets report and just from what you have said on here if i was your farrier i probably would have suggested leaving her barefoot until we knew exactly what we were looking at. I would not have wanted to risk furthur damage to the heels with metal. Thats just my opinion though

Just for info - The imprint shoes would set you back about £150 and the easywalkers would be about £80-90
the problemt with the imprints is that they are glued on and dont have a record for staying on very well and dont refit so could become very costly. the easywalkers are nailed on and probably a better option.

The worry was if we took her shoes off that because he feet aren't that great quality then he wouldn't have enough foot to play with when we wanted her re-shod , I think

foot can be rebuilt with plastics

Your farrier will have had to go on an imprint course though if you go this route.

Two things i will say about barefoot: this can actually greatly improve the quality of the foot and also is a good way for NAv cases to be. Especially if she is not being worked.

the reason i suggesed plastics is because they give support but also mimic the barefoot state.

If you need any information or advice or if i can help in any way let me know

ISHY Please ignore the sh@tbag that is spreading vicious comments about overjumping. Unfortunatly some people in this life really live up to 'The Devil makes work for Idle Hands'
or in this case it must be idle tongues.
It gives their pitiful little egos an inflated sense of worth when they can belittle others and talk out of their pants when they havent a clue.

"the horse world can be bitchy" thats a bloody understatement, all i can say is its usualy the "little knowledge is a dangerous thing"brigade who are the worst, just rise above it she is not worth it,hope all goes well with sol

Thankyou v. much everyone

I now know I haven't caused her NAV .. if she was older we could put it down to bad ground/ farriering/ etc etc but as she's just 5 its one of those things .. no ones fault just bad luck ... ho hum ..

Gosh the horsworld can be really bitchy at times. I've had this sort of cr@p before and unfortunatly it can affect you.

As sayed before there are so many narsty people in this world and cant trust no one
I have all the bitchness where i am
im going through the stages of being a narsty woman who does not feed her horses and people think it in there duty to go into my field and give them my hay without my permission
I would just carry on and ignore them you know whats right and dont need to explain your self to no one

Having been through a similar experience myself, all I would say is that in my experience people who do things like this generally have something lacking, either in their personality or in their life. However annoying it is, and i know it is bloody infuriating, it is pointless wasting your energy on it. Best to try and focus on the positives which seem to be that you have a diagnosis and are doing your best to manage the situation with the welfare of your horsey being your priority. Dear horsey can't ask for more than a loving caring owner who is doing her best.

Why not start a really "interesing" rumour about this person? Horsey people love to gossip, and the juiciest material travels at the speed of light! You do get some really nasty people about though. I used to have a "friend", no very ex, whose horse lived with mine. I did all the morning shift, plus my own horse again in the evening, 7 days a week, even on Christmas Day, even though she lived a fraction of the distance away that I did. She was supposed to just bring mine in in the evenings, but in reality, I ended up doing it myself several times a week. She told the land-owner that I wasn't putting water out in the field for the horses - WTF - would I leave my own horse without water?? She had something nasty to say about everyone but would be all sweetness to their face. These days, if I found her on fire, I'd leave her to burn!
