We have dreadful snow today and a very chilly wind so i made sure my boys shelter is thick with straw and have put piles of hay in and a tub trug of chaff so why does he feel the need to stand all the way across the field refusing to come in so i have to take a bale over to him?
So now he is stood out in the snow munching happily while i am fretting about him!

Oh I gave mine loads of hay this morning and they have ignored it, preferring to dig holes in the snow and eat the grass. There was at least 4 inches down when I turned them out, but if thats what makes them happy...

He must be happy out in it! mine are the same have a shelter with staw bed in and hay but no they are standing out in the field eating the hay

we couldnt even get down to the yard this morning so the yard owner has had to do the horses for everyone! Just have to get the thermals on to walk 3 miles down there and back this afternoon!

Glad mine isn't the only one
