What are the best ones? Does anyone know if the bucas power classic is heavier weight than the bucas smartex medium?

Or what else would you recommend.

The horse has a muscle disorder which means she can't be kept in until she's dry or if she gets wet from the rain when riding I have to turn her out with her turnout rug on so I am thinking these would be better for her but it's such a minefield knowing what weight to get. She needs to be kept fairly warm at all times and I like the power ones being silver because sometimes if I am at work and the temperature changes there's no one to change rugs for me. However someone just told me they are very warm rugs. Really want a smartex medium in silver (I think!).

Any ideas please.

I swear by the lightweight Bucas Power (silver) turnouts. I also use the heavyweight Power in winter.

I've got a Bucas sun shower rug. Is this too lightweight for you? I find it handy for turning out a slightly damp horse on a mild day, especially after a bath.

A lightweight turnout rug developed to cater for warm weather and rainfall. The special mesh lining maintains the circulation of air underneath the rug to help wick away moisture. Includes Combi Neck attachment straps for the optional Sun Shower Combi Neck. Lightweight with sun reflective silver finish
Waterproof and breathable outer fabric

I found the Sunshower to be rubbish (leaked like a sieve in light rain). The Smartex Rain on the other hand is an excellent rug. It has the stay dry lining and a tough outer. I actually prefer them to 'no fill' lightweights.

Thanks folks. I need a medium weight really. I've got a no fill breathable rambo. She's clipped out and lives out and also feels the cold so it's tricky. Also living in Scotland where it's 20c one minute and snowing the next!!

(Before anyone gives me a lecture about not clipping her or something, she needs very specific management and clipping her makes that easier as rugs can easily be changed to suit.)
