Been trying to find some (nice) long boots and (nice) wellies but they are all not wide enough...or too long! :o

So basically am wondering...do nice riding boots/wellies exist for people with midget chunky legs???? :D

Muck boots are excellent for the "welly" category as the tops are stretchy neoprene! I used to have the Tynes as you can ride in them as well but they do tend to deaden your leg in terms of feel against your horse so now I have the Derwents which have a lovely chunky ridged sole so are excellent for gripping in mud and snow.

Have you had a look at Fuller Fillies webby? I think they have a good range of boots for chunky calves?

I have wide short calves, the hunter balmorals are my first choice for wellies :)

A friend has some brill long mark todd boots that fit my fat midget calves very well. Mountain horse 'wide' dont come close.

Hunter for wellies.
I also managed to get in to the Dublin River boots and Dubarrys.
I've got English Gaiter Company Gaiters, but their long boots in a wide are still too narrow...go figure!
It's a pain in the bum having tiny feet and wide calves!

Try having small feet, wide calves AND long legs. There are pretty much no boots that fit. I am a mutant. But I have Dubarry Wexfords, can fit in Joules wellies (with the gusset) and have Sarm Hippique long boots. Would recommend all three.

If you have short wide legs, there are some shires boots that look gorgeous and come in short / wide / ex wide / ex ex wide fittings, but not with the regular or long length so even though they were the only boot (other than my sarms) that did up, they were too short for me! But for shorter people well worth the very reasonable price tag.

How does that even work?!?
I tried those on in an extra maybe anither extra wide at the weekend, still didn't do up. Pfft, my lgaiters are about 16" long, and 15ish wide.
Sorry for thread hijack but I'd love to find some nice boots, the straighter topped the better.

if you are a 16/15 you should deffo fit into the shires ones I tried on. I take an 18 /16. Sometimes a little longer.... It is impossible for me to find boots, and I worship my Sarms as a result - they really do have a boot to fit everyone!

The Shires were lovely boots, but came 1/2 way down my leg in the short and then didnt even do them in a reg let alone a long!!!! I would have taken reg as I only wanted them for day-to-day boots to save my sarms!

Muck boot wellies and i have mountain horse long boots,in the wide fitting.I think in mountain horse boots, the bigger your foot, the wider the calf.I have to wear a size 8,due to my splint, and this goes around my chunky calves

btw are u all really talkin about wide calves

my fyi are 18in one leg and 19in the other. and nope never found a welly to fit and none of the dubarrys come close

mine are 18" and I can get muckers on no bother.
equitector do really wide fits and fuller fillies x-wide are supposed to fit up to 20"

ok i just wondered what the rest of u classed as wide.
i have black leather chaps for showing to look like long boots and i wear joules welly bobs as my waterproof shoes

never been able to find wellies that fit

thanks, will go have a look now for some :) i really like the toggi calgary boots, and the wide almost fit on the calf but they are about 3" to long :( i really like the duburry wexfords aswell...*raids piggy bank*
