No prizes for guessing what came up when I typed that in google without thinking!

So I've come back here for some advice instead haha! I have been wanting a new girth for a while now and when I asked my new instructor he suggested that a wide girth would be best for my horse as he is quite sensitive. So does anybody use a wide girth and have any recommendations?

He suggested the stubben cord girth as well, just wondered if anybody uses/used these and what you found?

Thankyou for hopefully saving my from the crazy world of the internet!

I used stubben cord girths on sensitive ones and love them. there are others but I find the neoprane and wide leather ones make them sweat more

Thankyou, I have been looking most of the evening and I am becoming more and more tempted. Think it is going to be my next purchase!

Professionals Choice girths are quite good for horses that get rubs/are sensitive and they are also quite wide.

This one is ventilated.

This one is a bit cheaper but not ventilated.

Thankyou both very much for your suggestions, I'll show him them tomorrow and see what he thinks :)

My sensitive horse has a stubben cord girth for when she needs a long girth and a professional choice ventech dressage girth. Both are wide and soft and prevent slipping.

I use the cord girths a lot, they are excellent for one of mine which needs to be girthed very securely as she has no withers and a flat back, (and they're old fashioned, which I like).

Lots of sensitive horses like the Stubben cord girth including my Welsh mare. The other girth that has the 'Welshie Seal of Approval', surprisingly, is the Aerborn Hy Comfort waffle girth :)
