Wide Hunter Noseband

I show my horse as a ridden hunter, although he wears a hunter type double bridle with a flat cavesson noseband, I've been told that his noseband needs to be wider and after watching the hunters at the RIHS I agree, can anyone ell me where I can get on of these noseband from? I have a Jefferies bridle but looking at their website it doesn't look like they do wider nosebands.
 
jeffries dont do wider ones I got mine of ebay look up wide hunter noseband it came from wales she makes them either just the noseband but I got a full bridle for £75 its made in the jeffries leather and is very nice if you cant find it let me know and I will send you the site.
 
Your local saddler should be able to make you a noseband to match your bridle, at a sensible price. You may beed to go for a thicker browband to balance the head, so it may make economic sense to have a bridle made for him, at least that way you can make sure it is correct in every sense, ie the buckles sit level with the eyes. I have a full size Jefferies plain cavasson bridle for my cob, and the noseband only just reaches around his nose, whilst he is on the top hole on the cheek pieces, not the best of fit really!

Oh, just to add, the saddler I gave uses the same leather as jefferies, so can match colour well.
 
I have used Fylde for nosebands - they are very helpful. They made me a 1.75" flat noseband, with a crank back in 'extra cob' size (cob was too small, and FS was too big

Jeffries DO do a wider noseband though - my friend has a 3" one for her cob.
 
Try Risley Saddlery Give them a ring with what you are looking for and i'm sure they will be able to help, My mare is their model and she is hunter type, there is a picture of her modelling a hunter noseband on the bridles section. The leather is fantastic quality. There will be some newer photo's added shortly as there were some more done yesterday. Hope this helps

Hi hunteress. I have the same problem, I have looked on ebay for wider nosebands but cant find one to match my jeffries bridle. Could you please give me a link of the person you got yours from please
