Hi, I wonder if you can advise me? I am looking for a pair of new adult sized leather upper jod boots. My old pair have totally collapsed now!:( The trouble is I have really wide feet and not a lot of money. I would prefer to buy from the internet as it's so much cheaper, but I really don't know what style or brand would be best.

I did buy a pair of Hunter Perths but they were so narrow I could barely get them on, and certainly not walk!!

Any advice would be gratefully received. Thank you :o

I have no idea about actual jodhpur boots (the smooth sort) but I have wide feet and find that Moutain Horse Mountain Rider paddock boots are really wide and comfortable, the toe box is really generous. I have these boots in a size 6 but am normally a 6.5 - 7.5 depending on make and I'm on my second pair as I like them so much.

Thank you for this. Are they leather? I'll have to do a search. I was really hoping to get leather, because I wear them for all sorts of things as well as riding, and cleaned up with a pair of trousers leather can look presentably smart! :)

At least I have now sold the ones I bought which didn't fit, so I have some £ towards a new pair!

I have wide feet (not sure exactly how wide, in the scheme of things) and have been very pleased with my Just Togs leather joddy boots, be aware JT make both leather and synthetic, mine were about 40 pounds I think. I always buy a size too big, to allow for extra socks in winter....that possibly has some bearing on the width issue. anyway, they are comfortable and plenty wide.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I am now proudly wearing Mountain Horse and they are extremely comfortable! Many thanks to you all!! Katy

Glad you found something. Oddly I have really narrow feet and practically live in Mountain horse which probably goes to show how good they are.

For another time - or another reader - Fuller filles specialise in wide fittings. Feet and calves. I only know because I am a "fuller filly" (or perhaps at my age that should be a matronly mare!) myself and wear their clothing. I can't vouch for the boots themselves as I have narrow feet but the clothing is great!
