Hello, I have two wide ponies and two very small children (1 1/2 and 4 in March).

I have the tiny synthetic treeless saddles, but I'm struggling to find a leather saddle that is wide enough and small enough for them.
So seeing as the treeless synthetics fit well, what do you think of a treeless leather saddle?
Do they exist that small, about 13" or 14"?
If they do where do I get one?
If they don't, do you think it would be worth talking to a manufacturer about it?
I am in the trade so if it worked out I could retail them.
Or am I the only person struggling to find saddles!

Thanks

I haven't seen a leather treeless saddle that small, and they tend to be bulky anyway. Thorogood do a synthetic with a tree designed for wide ponies which is 15" I think.

When my son was 9 but riding the Highland I bought an old small half panel showing saddle and trimmed the flaps up so he could get his legs past them, I also had extra long girth straps put on (to suit a dressage saddle) to reduce the bulk under his legs

Hi. I have the same problem-my little NF has a back like a table top! I've just ordered this http://www.tds-saddlers.com/ProductDetails.asp?PCLinkID=8769 (waiting delivery) but it appears to only come in black.
I have got a safari cub but it looks a bit silly on her because she's quite deep and I've also used a XW Thorowgood PC saddle but even that wasn't really wide enough.
If you find anything else I'd be interested
