Hi all.

My young horse is going great guns but I have a delicate problem...

His legs aren't long, but he does have substantial bone, proper old Irish type.

I have managed to find him brushing boots and XC boots that are wide enough, so a standard Full size. However, all tendon boots are too short in the straps!

Anyone could advise for some tendon boots? The only XW ones I have seen are a cob length, whereas he is a full length, but XW width.

If it's just for every day you can buy velcro strap extensions which as far as I know you sew on.

If I'm being completely honest for outings we never found any to fit our old ISH/Cob mare - so gave up and just had a really nice breathable pair of brushing boots front and back instead.

He's a beauty by the way!

Had a second look at the ones IHW recommended today, they were the exact same measurements as the ones I bought, if anything a little less flexible and thicker.

I have some old ones that were the sort to thread through a ring and fold back on themselves, so it looks like I could cut them off the outside, sew them to the inside and trim to fit. Bit of a faff though!
