Flys were bad today so decided to put his new Shires fly mask on. Loved his new mask as it has great vision through the mesh as some I think seem to limit the vision and the spooky boy wouldnt cope with that
The sun was out and I led him from the stable to the field and he was awful, jumping all over, spooking at nothing and on top note. Got to his field and thought no way Im letting him go with the mask on as he was acting really wierd, so I took it off and he instantly returned to normal. He always wore a mask last year with no problem. I put the mask to my head and with the sun on it the material was shiny which made it sort of reflect making funny shadows. All I can presume is this is what the problem was. I will try his old one on again to see. The Shires one was a fraction of the price of his other so a bit gutted really.
Anyones horse reacted funny to fly masks?
