wierdest horse names youve come acroos!:)

I've owned a "Plop", a "Fatty", a "Knockers" and a "Steve", and some of my liveries have some cracking names -
"Pancake"
"Betty"
"Duncan"
"Banana"
"Carrot"

I also used to work in racing, and so was responsible for giving horses in my care stable names. I subjected horses to names like "Beryl", "Mildred", "Francis" and "Doob".
 
I know one called 'sugar lips' she is gorgeous but shame about the name.

Toast (I love thus name he was a dun)
 
Daughter had a piebald cob pony called Stilton, she had mottling on her face that looked like the veins in blue cheese, hence the name. We've had a mr bumble and a jamaica and when I was a teenager I met a girl whose horse was called Dishcloth!! We now have a Beanie and a T (short for Tamar)
 
I looked after a spotty horse called snowflake!! Asked owner if he had a shorter name as snowflake quite a long name to shout to get him in from the field. She said yeah I call him snuffles 😳 didn't know which was worse!! Lol
 
I am a huge fan of animals with funny (and people names!)
I knew a horse called Shrek.
My own dog is called Desmond and I have a chinchilla called Henry.
My best friend has three cats called Pickles, Cyndaquil and Trout and a rabbit called Pea.

World horse welfare have come up with some weird ones, compost particularly confused me! My first pony is called Cockie which no one seems to get their head round so he has been called cookie, kookie and hockey!
 
I work in a school and we thought one name was an urban myth - until it arrived in September. IKEA!!!

We have got a boy, allegedly, turning up this September called Paddington Bear - but won't believe it until he is sitting in front of me!

I've also known a pair of cats called Tom and Jerry :D
A duck called Jemima.
A chicken called Herman.
A hamster called Rat.
A parrot called Telephone because it used to imitate the telephone perfectly and used to 'ring' when it was bored.
A dog called Jessica.
My friend has 3 fish called Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, funnily enough she's a vegetarian (the type that doesn't eat fish)
A few sheep called Piggy, Ustashia, Dorris, Betsy, Pansy and Pink Nose. Betsy became B*tch when she tried to kill her baby :(
3 pigs called Nigela, Gordon and Jamie (all by chefs :D )
And we used to have a pigeon called Pumpkin.
 
^ I'd say most of those horse names are 'normal'? (or as normal as any horse owner is capable of being ;))
This year we've bred
- Ladyhawke (hawk)
- Renegade (Rennie)
- Dans la Nuit (Nuit)
- Midnight Illusion (Isla)
We also have stable names of
-Riptide
- Val
-Dixie
- Rab
-Surf
-Spicy
-Catman
... To name a few
And our other animals inc Otis and Agnes (pigs) Festus the donkey, Milkshake the goat
 
My cats are David, Albert, Alfred and Steven :D

Used to have a guinea pig called Hilda :D

Love human names for animals, thinking of having a Kevin or a Timothy next :D

We had a cat called Timothy. Never had a Kevin though! :)

Used to know a 13hh grey fuzzy games pony- called Arkle! Always raised a smile when the commentator at the PPC areas shouted "and it's Himself leading for the Percy" :D
 
A horse I owned some years ago was called "Kicker", his previous owner named him after dodging his flying hooves on one too many occasions! He was a sweetheart though and never lived up to his name with me.
Also used to ride a horse called "Neybo" at a riding school and a pony called "Windy". Windy had a bit of a digestion problem :eek:
 
I remember a Mr Whopity from SE Kent, he was a smallish grey, lovely fella.

My daughter had a boa constrictor called Eric............turned out it was an Erica

My friend bred TB's, named them after what they were or when they were born,eg. Brown, June etc. Another mare at the National Stud once was named Hairbrush, and I have owned one called My Life's Ambition.
My own foal was born on a Friday and got named Crunchie (thank Crunchie its Friday, used to be the advert caption).
