Just an update on my recent purchase.. Senator Sam!

Went yesterday to pick the wee fella up, the breeder had him jammed in what i think was a stable  with 3 gates, we eventually got the trailer inplace and we were ready to go.. the pny came out the stable and straight into the box, no issues.. until we then realised the breeder had tied the gates to the trailer and we couldnt get them off!! So out the box he came and straight over the top of me..- not his fault he just paniced..
After this, my yard owner and i took over! We put a gate across the barn- so if he did escape again he wasnt getting away, we then put boards up the side of the ram- easier to move. So take 2! The wee guy popped straight in, boards down, ramp up and off!

We got him home and unloaded him into our big shed, just to let him chill out then he followed me into a stable where we managed to get a head collar on him and a better look at what i had actually bought! Then we had the fun of trying to lead him up the drive to his actual stable.. He dragged both mum and i but what a mover!!

So i left him last night, happily muching a haynet (after he realised what it was) and a bucket of happy tum! Yard owner text to say he was quite happy this morning. But hes getting gelded this afternoon.. so i doubt he'll speak to me lol! But its for the best, he's had a scary 2 days but hopefully it will be nicer from now on in!

Tea and biscuits for anyone who actually read this!;);) Will get some pictures later when I'm home from work!!

Good luck in your journey with you new pony, I also bought a wild one last May and although its been hard, things are coming good now so enjoy it:)

Look forward to see your pictures, hope op went ok.

Just an update,
Sorry for not posting pictures, the op went well, although he was quite big! But had to get the vet out last night.. He was bleeding quite heavily. But the vet came out and re stitched him back up. Managed to get a good look at him when he was doped, i reckon he could be 15hh at the withers, rain rash, mud rash, managed to cut the knots out of his mane, clip his belly- it was all matted, trim and tidy up his ears, brush his legs and body!

Checked him this morning before work, and there was no more blood and was munching a haynet! Vets back out today to check him and then stitches out tomorrow! So Stressful, poor pony!
