Just an update on my recent purchase.. Senator Sam!
Went yesterday to pick the wee fella up, the breeder had him jammed in what i think was a stable
with 3 gates, we eventually got the trailer inplace and we were ready to go.. the pny came out the stable and straight into the box, no issues.. until we then realised the breeder had tied the gates to the trailer and we couldnt get them off!! So out the box he came and straight over the top of me..- not his fault he just paniced..
After this, my yard owner and i took over! We put a gate across the barn- so if he did escape again he wasnt getting away, we then put boards up the side of the ram- easier to move. So take 2! The wee guy popped straight in, boards down, ramp up and off!
We got him home and unloaded him into our big shed, just to let him chill out then he followed me into a stable where we managed to get a head collar on him and a better look at what i had actually bought! Then we had the fun of trying to lead him up the drive to his actual stable.. He dragged both mum and i but what a mover!!
So i left him last night, happily muching a haynet (after he realised what it was) and a bucket of happy tum! Yard owner text to say he was quite happy this morning. But hes getting gelded this afternoon.. so i doubt he'll speak to me lol! But its for the best, he's had a scary 2 days but hopefully it will be nicer from now on in!
Tea and biscuits for anyone who actually read this!
Will get some pictures later when I'm home from work!!
