wilkie snaffle

I have recently bought a horse that has previously been ridden in a wilkie snaffle.
Can someone tell me more about this type of bit, how it works, and how it is best attached to the bridle/reins.

Try looking at the above thread which was on here a couple of weeks ago. Basically cheek piece goes on top loop and rein on bottom. Generally works on poll action. Often used on cheeky ponies in the show ring.
