Will and Cat RIP *pics*

To be honest Jen...neither can I! It's amazing what we can cope with when we have to. I have been stunned at how ok I am, and feel a little guilty that I am tbh. Perhaps it will hit me hard at a later date, I don't know, but for the moment apart from the odd tear I am ok and very content in the knowledge that my babies are together and safe. x

I saw something in someone's sig a while ago, and think you maybe ought to add it to yours... "women are like teabags, you never know how strong they are until you put them in hot water!"

even if it does hit hard later, at least you can be sure you made the right decision for you and them based on the info you had at the time.

What a gorgeous pair of boys they were and how brave and selfless of you to have their best interests at heart. RIP.

Oh Vizslak what gorgeous photos to have. Well done you for keeping it together for their sakes!

If my mare ever looked at me with such love like yours did, I would know I had done something right. Take care x

Thanks MC, she did love me and trust me completely, of that I'm sure. She would have walked over hot coals for me or jumped the moon had I asked her to. I share with her some of my best memories on the hunting field...total trust that we were always looking after each other, theres an awful lot to be said for that when you are hunting, I've not had it with a horse before or since. Will of course taught me how to hunt properly as a nipper! ;) Without what he taught me I would never have been competent enough to take Cat on in later life though, she was totally mental and unrideable when I bought her, I had her out hunting 6 weeks later (it was bloomin hairy the first few times!) and a few weeks after that she was the most perfect ride on the hunting field ever! For me....I made the mistake of loaning her out for a day thinking she was now the perfect ladies hunter...WRONG! She wouldnt jump so much as a stick and had the lady off three times! :p  :D Ahhhh fond memories! :)
