Seeing that England and Wales are stopping live animal export for slaughter will this just mean farmers/transporters will send them to Scotland and Ireland first ?

Funny isn’t it - the Scottish law makers always like to be seen as compassionate and touchy-feely ... until it comes to animal welfare ?
I worked for a super posh land agent once, it really made me realise that animal welfare was the last consideration, it was all about what they could get away with. YES, the local abattoirs generally did a much kinder job.Of course there is a problem with growing animals on here; there are very few small local abattoirs left. We need to have a complete rethink.
